Overview
Missouri has most of the same types of community associations that exist in other states.
Condominiums
Planned unit developments
There is no statute governing the establishment of a planned unit development.
Defunct PUDs
“Any loss or damage for past due Association assessments, fees or costs.”
If an ALTA 5 is requested, only the ALTA 5.1 can be issued.
Cooperatives
There are two cooperatives in the St. Louis area. There is no statute governing the establishment of a cooperative.
Missouri has a "Time Sharing" statute. (Section 407.600 Missouri Revised Statutes) It provides for interval or joint ownership, however, the statute is not patterned after the Uniform Real Estate Time-Share Act.
