Compliance
Florida requires that an evaluation of a "reasonable" title search be done prior to issuing a commitment, policy, or any endorsements. Fla. Stat. Ann. 627.7845(1).
In General
Title searches in Florida are based on records filed at the county level. Many title search are done using records from fee-based private title plants, but this is not a requirement.
