Condominiums
Missouri has a condominium act (Chapter 448.1-101 Missouri Revised Statutes) which is based on the Uniform Condominium Act. The condominium must be established by a Declaration. The statute provisions allow for the conversion of an existing apartment building as well as providing for development phasing and transferable development rights.
Planned unit developments
There is no statute governing the establishment of a planned unit development.
Cooperatives
There are two cooperatives in the St. Louis area. There is no statute governing the establishment of a cooperative.
Missouri has a "Time Sharing" statute. (Section 407.600 Missouri Revised Statutes) It provides for interval or joint ownership, however, the statute is not patterned after the Uniform Real Estate Time-Share Act.
