Dual CPLs
From WFG Wiki
We are periodically asked to issue a Closing Protection Letter for agents who are handling an escrow for property in a state for which they do not have a title producer license. The laws on whether an out of state escrow agent may handle a transaction simply involving property in another state is often less than clear.
WFG's policy is that upon request we will issue a CPL naming both an out-of-state WFG agent (handling the escrow functions) and an in-state WFG agent handling the title policy and related aspects of the transaction.
The attached table reflects our internal research on whether an out-of-state agent is prohibited from handling escrow functions for land in a given state.
