Aliens and corporations of foreign countries may acquire, hold and sell real estate (Section 442.560 Mo. Rev. Statutes) except for agricultural land which is defined as any tract of land more than five acres which is capable of supporting an agricultural enterprise. (Section 442.566 Mo. Rev. Statutes)
Missouri law generally prohibits aliens or foreign businesses from acquiring agricultural land in the state, unless the land is acquired for immediate or potential use in non-farming purposes. See Mo. Ann. Stat. §§ 442.571-442.592.
