Overview

Non-US citizens and coprorations of foreign countries are permitted to buy, own, and sell real estate in general. MO Rev Stat § 442.560. They are prohibit from owner agricultural land as defined in MO Rev Stat § 442.566 which is basically anything large than five (5) acres capable of supporting agricultural use.

There is an exception to this prohibition carved out for counties located adjacent to Oklahoma. MO Rev Stat § 442.560 and MO Rev Stat § 442.571. There is also an exception is the land in question can be used for immeidate or potential use for non-farming purposes. MO Rev Stat § 442.591.
