Overview
Missouri allows for the creation of condominiums. The rules governing condominiums in Missouri resemble those in most other states. Condominiums must be established by a recorded Declaration. The statute provisions allow for the conversion of an existing apartment building as well as providing for development phasing and transferable development rights.

The first, passed in 1963, is known as the "Lesser Act" and was superseded by an act passed in 1983, known as the "Greater Act", that was based on the Uniform Condominium Act.
