Document Recording in Missouri

For Missouri, the rule says that a settlement agent must present the documents for recording. I cannot find any specific rulings on this, so I don’t think the Missouri DOI has done any interpretation yet. I would say that it is a degree of control. So long as it is an employee of a company that has a licensed agent supervising the activity, then it doesn’t need to be a licensed person actually handling the documents.
